Terms of Use – Circular Economy Data Portal

Peclet Technology ABN 59 604 366 583 (Peclet), developed this Circular Economy Data Portal (Portal) to make datasets available to local and state governments and businesses in NSW. The initial stage of development was funded under Transport for NSW’s Smart Places Innovation Challenge in 2023 and does not guarantee nor hold accountability for the predictive data available on the portal.

The purpose of the portal is to understand residual material profiles of regions and support the implementation of circular economy strategies for the benefit of local businesses and communities. This data is provided in good faith to support organisations and the wider communities of NSW to transition to a circular and more sustainable economy. The dissemination of this data (including unauthorised possession, storage, use, viewing, duplication of any of its contents) for any purpose (other than detailed above) or to any party outside of NSW is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimer

Data displayed in this app has been generated using a predictive model. The model was developed based on residual material data collected from a large number of businesses and industries internationally and is used to predict material flows for similar businesses in NSW. The predicted data displayed, which is a function of a predictive analytics model, is unlikely to be an exact representation of the real world and should not be taken to be a true representation of an individual business’ residual material status. The model is improved on an-going basis by collecting additional data from the real world.

Peclet makes no warranty, representation or guarantee of any type as to any errors and omissions, or as to the content, accuracy, timeliness, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose or use of any data available from the Platform. To the extent permitted by law, Peclet will have no liability for any loss, including consequential loss, damage or injury (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) arising as a result of your use or reliance on the Platform.

Peclet may modify the data available from the Platform and/or discontinue providing any or all of that data at any time and for any reason, without notice. Accordingly, it is recommended that you regularly check the Portal to ensure that the latest version of the data is used.

Access will be initially provided under the Innovation Challenge proof of concept funding, and you will have access, until Jun 2025.

Under this license, your organisation must not:

  • reverse engineer, distribute, transfer or sublicense data on this platform

If you obtain permission to copy, reuse, adapt, build on, or redistribute any data or visualisations from the Portal, Peclet must be credited.

To enable collaboration and identification of joint projects and common issues, all users are permitted to view all available data and are not limited to data from their local government area.

I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the above disclaimer and obligations and that I would like to receive access to the Portal.
